AlcoTec ER4047 .035 1# Spool Aluminum MIG Wire
AlcoTec ER4047 .035 1# Spool Aluminum MIG Wire
Alcotec Alloy 4047 was originally developed as a brazing alloy (BAlSi-4) OR (718) to take advantage of its low melting point and narrow freezing range. In addition, it has a higher silicon content than 4043, which provides for increased fluidity and reduced shrinkage. The alloy produces bright and almost smut free welds. Hot cracking is significantly reduced when 4047 is used as a filler alloy. The alloy may be used in applications of sustained elevated temperatures.
Typical Applications
- Trade designation: ALMIGWELD and ALTIGWELD
- Non-Heat treatable
- Similar to AlSi12 (Germany), BS N21 (United Kingdom)
- ISO designation: AlSi12
- Principle alloying elements: Silicon
- Applicable specifications: ANSI/AWS A5.10 (ER & R), AMS 4190

J.W. Harris Stay Clean Paste Flux – 4oz
Stay-Clean Paste Soldering Flux is designed primarily for copper to copper and copper to brass connections the paste form is ideal for soldering tube joints. Not recommended for electrical or electronic applications due to the potential corrosive residue of the flux. Stay Clean Paste flux works well with most leaded and lead-free solder compositions. Flux residue should be removed after soldering.

J.W. Harris Stay Silv 15 1/8″ 28 Stick Tube
The Harris Stay-Silv 15 PhosCopper Brazing Alloy is the industry standard for air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Still widely used, but now often replaced by Dynaflow® in many HVAC/R applications. For many years the standard of the industry, the 15% silver alloy has proven its value. This filler metal is excellent for situations in which close fit-up does not exist, and where thermal expansion and service vibration are involved.

J.W. Harris Blockade 2mm x 20 Stick Tube
J.W. Harris Blockade 2mm x 20 Stick Tube
The Harris Blockage Phosphorus Tin Silicon Brazing Alloy is a proprietary phosphorus-tin-silicon alloy engineered as an inexpensive alternative to copper-copper and copper-brass alloys. It is self-fluxing on copper and its lower melting temperature makes it an excellent choice for brass connections. BLOCKADE flows rapidly but can be used to “cap” brazed joints.
Blockade’s® unique silicon addition offers significant advantages over phos/copper and silver/phos/copper, (BCuP), brazing alloys. Among the benefits are: bright alloy color during cooling that allows visual verification of a good braze joint, improved ductility over BCuP-2 alloy, reduced brazing temperature, and reduced material costs. It is often used with Stay-Silv® white brazing flux as a replacement for high silver alloys when brazing brass.

J.W. Harris Solar Flux Type B 1# Can
J.W. Harris Solar Flux Type B 1# Can
Solar Flux is a complex chemical compound in the form of a very fine powder. Solar Flux is mixed with alcohol (methanol/methyl alcohol preferred) and brushed on the weld joint. It is formulated to shield the back of the weld joint from oxygen, dissipate heat and unwanted oxides, and to clean the surface of the metal. It will aid in the flow of filler metal over base metal and form a protective barrier to prevent re-oxidation and heat scale.
Type B for stainless steel, (except 309, 310), precipitation hardening steels, chrome-moly steels, other alloy steels with nickel content below 25%

Alcotec ER4043 Aluminum TIG Rod
Alloy 4043 is one of the oldest and most widely used welding and brazing alloys. Almigweld and altigweld 4043 can be classified as a general purpose type filler alloy. The silicon additions result in improved fluidity (wetting action) to make the alloy a preferred choice by welders. The alloy is less sensitive to weld cracking and produces brighter, almost smut free welds.
Typical Applications
Welding Filler Wire
Spray and Flame Metallizing Wire

J.W. Harris Stay Brite 1/16″ X 1# Spool
J.W. Harris Stay Brite 1/16″ X 1# Spool
The important advantage of Stay-Brite® solders is the greater strength of the overall component. After joining, its lower working temperature eliminates the weakening of the base metals caused by annealment from high brazing heat. The result is a stronger, more economical joint.
Stay-Brite® silver bearing solders have the same excellent affinity as SafetySilv® alloys for bonding with most of the ferrous and nonferrous alloys (including stainless steel, nickel, copper, brass, etc.) It provides a considerably higher than necessary elongation for sound dissimilar metal joints and vibration applications.
Stay-Brite® alloys range in temperature from 430°F to 535°F. Stay-Brite® solder eliminates oxide scale formed from brazing heat. No nitrogen purge is required for HVAC/R tubes. They are cadmium free and nontoxic. Stay-Brite® is a eutectic alloy with a single melting point of 430°F (221°C).

J.W. Harris Stay-Clean Flux
J.W. Harris Stay-Clean Flux
Stay-Clean Liquid Soldering Flux is an inorganic acid & salt type flux. It is formulated to be active at temperatures optimum for a range of solder compositions and is ideal for soldering a variety of base metals.
Stay Clean liquid effectively removes surface oxide and prevents oxide formation during soldering. Stay Clean can be used with most tin based solder compositions and is an excellent companion flux with Harris Stay Brite® and Stay Brite® #8. Stay Clean is an active soldering flux. It works well on copper and brass but is more frequently used on base metals that require a more aggressive flux, such as steel, nickel, and stainless steel, (it is not suitable for aluminum or magnesium).
Minimal pre-cleaning is required with Stay Clean Flux, but it is good practice to remove excess oil, grease, or other surface contaminants prior to fluxing and soldering.
Flux should be applied with a brush or other type applicator. Avoid getting excess flux inside tube or other connections.
Flux residue is corrosive and a post-solder flux removal procedure should be employed. Because of this it is not recommended for use in electrical or electronic applications.

J.W. Harris Low Fuming Bronze 15 Bare Copper Alloy Gas Rod 3/32″ X 36″ 10# PKG
The Harris 15 Low Fuming Brazing Bronze is copper- zinc braze rod developed primarily to braze steel and some cast iron grades including malleable and grey iron. It can be used to join copper but due to the elevated melting temperature care must be taken during brazing to avoid overheating or melting the copper. It is used with the oxy-fuel process.
Harris 15 is considered a “braze-welding”
